My first thought on Naeem Khan’s Spring Collection is that the colorful embroidered numbers belong on tan jet set women. The type of women that party in Marrakech, Rio De Janeiro and St. Tropez on a routinely basis. Daring dipping V lines call for perky breasts, and in the middle slits demand bikram toned legs. What of course peaked my attention was his wife’s, Ranjana Khan, Spring Collection jewelry. As a wife decors a husband, Ranjana’s long emblem necklaces and daring dangling earrings brought the finishing touches to the ensembles.

The dress I adored the most! The rich embroidery is to be worn alone, just like a woman who shines in her own beauty.
Statement necklaces are still a force of nature to not be reckon with! Which also means that they are here to stay for the next following seasons. But instead of resting high on the chest, Ranjana has dropped the length of her delightful creations to reach as far down as the naval. So ladies, start applying your face creams to your decollage and be prepared to show more than just a dangling pendant or charm.
I will be accompanying Miranda, DSL’s CEO, to Ranjana Khan’s Spring 2011 exhibition in Paris. Let me know which are your favorite pieces and I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for them as we choose which precious items to bring to the showroom of Doorstep Luxury.
