The DSL Girls are very excited to have a new member join our team! I would like to introduce Nicolle, our Sales & Marketing Executive.
This week, we have started to interview a few of the ladies to find out about their day-to-day life in the Fashion World. We would love to share N’s experience as the newest member of the Doorstep Luxury team.
Take it away Nicolle..
Having worked in this cosy studio for close to a week, I have had the greatest luxury of touching and feeling the many pretty items first hand. The new leather smell, unseasoned bag buckles and lots of funny fetishes got me really obsessed about work, even after work. The line is definitely blurred and I guess, I have finally found a job that I really enjoy!
And so S, our very capable PR representative got me to list my TOP FIVE FAVORITES of the Doorstep Luxury store. After some struggle on my own, it was down to SIX! I just had to list the sixth most desired and it was impossible to leave out any of the other five as well. Trust me, it was tough.
1. Nola Tote (Gold Python) by Kara Ross
Talk about dressing for comfort. This bag is soft to touch, exotic to attract and classy classy classy. There are days where I just do not prefer carrying that hard structured bag around while running some errands, yet still want to look stylish just in case I bump into important people like Brad Pitt… These things, you’ll never know!
2. The Bonnie in Hollywood Flourescent Pink by Diane De Maria
Another bag I want to have my hands on. There is no chance in missing out this conspicuous bag. It is so chic, artful and city-girlish. Well every girl needs a city-girl bag doesn’t she?
3. Bathers Polaroid Scarf by Philippe Roucou
This one is instantly wearable with my jeans. Oh yes, I’m a very down-to-earth jeans person. 90% of my bottoms are denim. They are truly the most convenient, stylish, versatile and classic bottoms of this era.
4. One piece swimsuit with back straps by Mileti
While working on this new swimwear line, I couldn’t resist picking a favourite among the Spring Summer Klash Collection. This modern piece is ALL about her sexy back. Enough said…
5. Swarovski Stone Ring by Scott Wilson
I discovered a unique little gem while browsing. The gorgeous mod Swarovski cubes just reminds me of a Japanese candy I had when I was little and that just gives me a quick boost of energy. I like the elongated design that appears like a double finger ring (it’s just one), so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
6. Marcia Bracelet by Ela Stone
Love both the designer’s name and this accessory. I would infuse this chain-like bracelet easily with my hip-hop gears (I’ve been taking hiphop classes!). I like how the vintage gold and rustic unpolished silver enhances a usual rugged outfit in an elegant and nonchalant way.
Which one should I get first? Spare me your views, will you?
Just wondering if there’s anyone else caught up in the same dilemma…
